Awnings
and Awning Curtains
Adding an awning to your tent produces
a new area that will quickly become your favorite space. The roof over your
head keeps the weather at bay, while the openness keeps you in contact with
the event around you. We have found  over the years that people sleep in their tents
but "live" under their awnings.
We construct awnings to work with the wall tents but they will work with
any tent or all by themselves. They are cut and built as the roof of a wall
tent would be, with double hemmed edges, turned back eaves with loops at
each seam, and a reinforced peak with both a loop and tie tape for
security. We suggest ordering an awning at least one panel (approx. 3')
longer than your expected needs if you intend to overlap your tent. We
suggest buying an awning a bit larger than you think you need as this is
the space where you will spend most of your time.

The awnings above are 12'9" wide when measured flat. They are cut a
bit wider than the "NINE FOOT" wall tents so that when erected in
front of a tent and lifted at the eaves they will effectively cover about
10' in width. The length is the cut size and will finish smaller. The
"actual" dimensions given above may vary due to seam allowance
but have shown to be true after building hundreds of awnings.
 This width awning is perfect for wedge tents
also. The width does not infringe on your neighbors space while
significantly adding to the wedge's livability.
We can add a grommet in the peaks if you would like your pole pins to pass
through. Grommets are also available for placement in the eaves.

The awnings above are 15'4" wide when measured flat. They are cut
wider than 12' wall tents so that when erected in front of a tent and
lifted at the eaves they will effectively cover about 13'-14' in width.
This width awning is good for the larger wedge tents, the Sutler tent or
just standing alone. Grommets are available for the peaks and eaves if
requested at the time of purchase.
AWNING CURTAINS
 Side curtains added to your awning close in the
living area and act as a wind break and rain barrier. Reinforced loops are
placed both top and bottom allowing the curtain to be tied to existing
loops on your awning and staked securely to the ground.
