We made this lovely marquee for a customer and it didn’t quite meet their needs. It’s literally been only halfway up, but because of that, you get a deal, and you get it fast!
Please note, this marquee is PEARL GREY 130oz CANVAS ONLY! Made with Roman trim in Green. Includes a roof vent, Half-Way ties on the walls, stove jack, flap for future vendor awning, Toggles on door enclosures, and a single screen window. The walls are 6’6″ tall for easy entry. This is a vendor’s dream, and will stand out from other tents due to the mint green color.
Rectangular Marquees can be found in historical sketches from Roman times through the Medieval era and well into the 19th century. We have seen paintings of these tents in war campaigns and 18th century garden parties. With square corners, they offer a great deal of useable floor space for furniture or a vendor’s wares. Historically, many of these tents were decorated with stripes for a truly striking appearance.
Rectangular Marquees have been popular at Rendezvous and Trade Fairs as vendor’s trade tents. Walls are easy to move, or remove, to display wares and make it easy for customers to enter and stay dry while they shop. Walls may be lifted like awnings to further shade clients and spread inventory beyond the normal wall space. Optional wall ties allow the walls to be lowered, exposing stock while adding to security, or for venting.
Families have found the benefits of Rectangular Marquees to be delightful for multiple-day events. With just a slight bit more set up time the Marquee offers stand up room in the entire tent, poles to hang clothing and gear, the ability to subdivide for separate selling and living, and a wonderful structure to weather a long storm.
We build our Rectangular Marquees to be supported with wall poles at every seam (approx. every 3′) as the seams are designed to take the weight of the canvas and the stress of the wind. Walls are suspended with brass snap hooks and “D” rings.
